Kayne Gordon

Operations Director

Having held numerous Australian and International high-level operations and commissioning management positions, Kayne possesses the leadership and strategic planning experience to ensure he is continually assessing and implementing the most efficient and optimum strategies across areas of Safety, Innovation, Leadership and Planning.

With a focus on optimizing cost effective and efficient solutions for all projects, Kayne ensures that at the forefront of any implementation strategy, the long-term integrity of all assets is never compromised.

Kayne’s primary role is overseeing all aspects Nexus’ operational requirements and extensive project portfolio, encompassing the management of safe, efficient and cost-effective operations across the portfolio. Encompassed in this leadership role is the management of strategic planning development and monitoring, budget development, marketing, public relations, purchasing and procurement.

Starting in the industry as an E&I technician and working his way up through management, Kayne understands that the value of any company is in its people and that providing a safe and supportive work environment will always lead to a prosperous business outcome.

Kayne leads by example, in both the leadership team and across all employees, and concentrates on maximizing the performance of people, site and materials to meet operational standards while delivering the required client service expectations.

Ryan Hubbard

Instrument and Controls Subject Matter Expert

Ryan possesses a great wealth of experience in Commissioning, Testing and Installation of electrical, instrumentation and control systems, throughout a range of project sectors– Gold, Energy, Gas and Lithium. With such a diverse range of project experience, Ryan endeavours to achieve the most efficient and innovative solution for each project.

Whilst being highly skilled in all areas relating to Commissioning, Testing and Installation, Ryan’s biggest passion is ensuring the Plant if fully optimised to its potential.

With numerous sites running aging/obsolete materials and poor plant design (that could be costing the business millions of dollars in revenue), Ryan thrives on finding the right mix of either enhancement of infrastructure, improving technical support systems or implementing new process control systems to maximise the plant efficiency, availability and maximise the return on investment.

As Technical Services Manager, Ryan has a focus to ensure that the Nexus team remains innovative in all our systems and approaches – from procedures to IT systems, to construction materials.  Continually researching and investing in his skill set, allows him the opportunity to bring new innovative ideas to each project and also the leadership team. With his constant pursuit to achieve the best outcomes for his clients, he drives, motivates and engages his team, with the clients expected outcomes always at the forefront.

Mark Upton

Non-Executive Director

Mark is a Non-Executive Director of Nexus Group AU. With over 26 years of experience leading successful teams in operations, maintenance, project work, construction, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for Petrochemical and Oil & Gas applications – Mark brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Nexus Group Senior Management team.

With strategic insights and a proactive approach, Mark has successfully been driving and delivering projects globally, with extensive instruments and controls experience on complex and mega projects, through to successful implementation.

In his role as Non-executive Director, Mark has focused on the strategic growth and performance of Nexus, from and objective/independent point of view, ensuring his ability to act on behalf of the company is never compromised.

Mark is a highly motivated individual that continues to challenge, support and mentor the senior management team in all areas of corporate governance and senior management strategy – ensuring Nexus Group continues to be an innovative and progressive company that will thrive in future economic climates.
